Event Review: Benedict College Presents The Color Purple

 The Benedict College’s Theatre Ensemble Production of The Color Purple. There were a number of events going on in Columbia, but I am so glad that I selected this one to attend. This is perhaps the best local theatre performance I’ve attended in Columbia.

The director, Charles David Brooks, III is a card-carrying member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, Inc, and it shows. Almost everything about this play was on-point. Continue reading

Dr. Isoken T. Aighewi as President-Elect of the Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs

 

Columbia, SC–August 14, 2012–The Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs (AEHAP) announced the appointment of Dr. Isoken Tito Aighewi, Associate Professor of Environmental Health at Benedict College School of STEM, as the new President-Elect of the association’s Board of Directors for 2012-14. The announcement was made at the recent National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Annual Educational Conference (AEC) held in San Diego, CA on June 28-30, 2012.
